Goku
Goku is a fighter at heart, he's part of the reduced family of the saiyans. As a child he was sent to destroy earth. Grandpa Gohan took him as his son, but Goku, as he named him, was very agressive. Until one day, Goku hit his head. He forgot everything about his mission, and became friendly. NOTE: Goku's saiyan name is Kakarott, as Vejita and Radditz call him.
Vejita
Vejita is another member of the saiyan breed. Vejita arrived at Earth with the purpose of wishing for eternal life using the dragonballs. He is really strong, and arrives with the company of Nappa.
Gohan
Goku's son. He carries an amazing internal power, but he still doesn't know how to control and use it, so it remains hidden until he gets really mad. He, as a member of the saiyan breed, posses a tail which gives him the power to turn into Ooazaru (see regular terms). It is asumed that Gohan's amazing powers are due to the combination of breeds; human with saiyan.
Piccolo
Piccolo is the rencarnation of Piccolo Dai Maku, the result of Kami's dividing process. To understand this better, see Kami Sama. Piccolo originally hated Goku, but, since Radditz was so tough, he had no choice but to join his enemy. After the fight with Radditz, Piccolo seems to turn good.
Trunks
Trunks is the son of Bulma and Vegeta. Half Saiyan and half human, just like Gohan and Goten. Trunks was surrounded by a scientific enviroment. Having his mother and grandfather as scientists, Trunks became very intelligent at science. In the future, Trunks and Goten were battling the androids, but they were too strong, Bulma had completed a time machine and sent Trunks back to help Gokou and Gohan fight. This is the story of Mirai (Future) Trunks, who is pictured right. Anotherversion of Trunks is the small child version, Chibi Trunks. In most of the Dragonball Z series, Trunks and Goten fight side by side and they are in the Broly story and the "Fusion Form:Gokou and Vegeta" movie as well. They are in others too. Trunks is famous for killing Freiza by slicing him in half. This was Trunks' first appearance on the show. Of course, he is one of my favorite characters on the show. He was also one of the stars in the third and final dragonball series, Dragonball GT. Dragonball GT was about the journey around space that Trunks, Gokou, and Pan had traveled in search of the Dark Star dragonballs. Which is why GT stands for Grand Tour. In one hilarious episode, Trunks is forced to dress as a princess to marry some beast.
Goten
Goten has black hair and black eyes, which changes to the usual gold when he goes Super Saiyan. Relatives: Goku(Father), Chi-Chi(Mother), Gohan(Brother), Bardock(Grandfather), Old Gohan(Adoptive Grandfather), Ox-king(Grandfather), Pan(Niece) Trained By: Goku When will you see him/her/it: DBZ/DBGT Abilities: Bukujustsu, Fusion, Kamehameha, SSJ, Zanzoken Even more: He was a surprising and frustrating little boy. He reached Super Saiyan level at only 7, but on the downside, he often throws fits to get what he wants.
Yamcha
He has black hair and black eyes. When will you see him: DB/DBZ/DBGT. Abilities: Bukujutsu, Kame Hame Ha, Rogafufuken, Sokidan Even more: He comes into the series in DragonBall as a robber, but then follows Goku and the gang after the dragonballs. He and Bulma date, and they break up. He also spends some time training at King Kai's, after dying in the battle against Vegeta.
Tenshinhan
He is bald, he has shaved his black hair off, and he has black eyes. He also has a third eye in the middle of his forehead. Tenshinhan is the strongest human warrior. He is the body guard of Chaozu, who is also his best friend. He is also the developer of the Solar Flare, which creates a brilliant light capable of blinding an opponent.
Chaozu
He is bald, and his eyes are black. His skin is very white. He also has two bright red dots on his cheeks. Trained By: Tsurusennin When will you see it: DB/DBZ/DBGT Abilities: Bukujutsu, Kame Hame Ha, Kikoho, Telepathy Even more: Chaozu is telepathic and telekinetic; he can speak through his mind and can move objects/people with his mind. His best friend and body guard is Tenshinhan. His power level also does ont increase with training, therefore leaving him unable to get stronger as the other Z Warriors can.
Krillin
Krillin has had his black hair shaved off (he later grows it back), and he has black eyes. There are 6 dots on his forehead. Trained By: Mater Roshi When will you see him: DB/DBZ/DBGT Abilities: Bukujustsu, Double Tsuihikidan, Fusenko, Kakusandan, Kamehameha, Kienzan, Shishin No Ken, Taiyoken, Zanzoken Even more: He is a Buddhist monk, and that is why his hair is shaved off. Once enemies, he is now Goku's best friend. He is also the second strongest human on Earth.
Nail
Nail is the personal guardian of Guru, the eldest Namek and father of all the Nameks. His role as personal guardian is very important because Guru is very ill. If Guru should die, the Dragon Balls will cease to exist on Namek. Like all Nameks, Nail is aware of the severe consequences of allowing the Dragon Balls to fall into the wrong hands, and is willing to do whatever it takes to prevent this from happening. Nail is a very skilled fighter and later fuses with Piccolo.
Pan
Gohan's and Videl's daugter. Appears for the first time in the last two chapters of the series, at the age of 4. She looks a bit like her mother when she was younger. Pan is really strong for her age and size, and surely capable of becoming a lot better (she can fly around the world in half an hour). She's a 1/4 of a Saiyajin, so she surely has some fighting potential, however she's only seen in one fight ( in the Tenkaichi - Budoukai). Before the series ends, she fights against Moukeko, winning due to Ring Out and Knock Out at the same time. She is one of the heros of Dragonball GT.
Gotenks
Gotenks, being the fusion (done with the special moves) between SonGoten and Trunks, Gotenks, is incredibly strong: being one of the most powerful characters of the series. Besides Gokuu, he is the only character able to change into Super Saiyajin 3. Gotenks has also one of the biggest egos in the series, meaning trouble most of the time! In order to transform into Gotenks, Trunks and Goten, go trough some errors, generating some strange forms (last two images). Though Gotenks is very powerful he is still no match for Majin Buu.
Vegito
When Gokuu and Vegita fuse, using Potarra, they become Vegito, problably the most powerful character in the DBZ world. Like Gotenks, Vegito has a very huge ego (it seems to be a "side-effect" of fusion). Vegito completly overpowers Majin Buu, but due to his ego and distraction he finally gets absorbed by Buu. Once inside Buu's body, the hero "unfuses" into Gokuu and Vegita. Vegita considers this a lucky break, and destroys his earring to prevent a second merge from ever happening. In this way the fusion between Son Gokuu and Vegita ends.
